It is about the most useful plants and roots someone would use in time of pandemics where traditional medicine isn’t available.
Since she was 14, Sharon Barlow-Smith had detailed involvement with her Father’s, Max G. Barlow, life of medicinal plants. He made sure the whole family got hands on experience with his botanical life. Sharon enjoyed many survival expeditions, plant research trips and formal herbal teaching group educational outings with him.
She also helped with the day to day herbal business of extracting medicinal properties from plants.
Using his original handwritten formula’s, she is currently continuing his legacy as owner of Honey Creek Lavender Farms with his most outstanding blends and single extractions of medicinal plants.
After many requests, Sharon decided to update and reproduce his famous book, “From the Shepherd’s Purse.” “I am the perfect person to rewrite and update this book, and am surprised how easy it was for me to not only understand his methods but to find it really is a book on how to learn about medicinal plants.” Happy collecting!
